Norwegian Viva launch delayed
Norwegian Cruise Line is pushing back the launch of its second Prima class ship.
Norwegian Viva will now debut in late August.
It blames global supply chain constraints.
It announced the cancellation of six cruises between July 3, 2023 and August 17, 2023.
Viva is under construction in Italy and was previously scheduled for a June launch.
The 3,250-passenger Viva begins sailing in Europe during its maiden season.
According to the company, the impacted passengers are being offering two different options.
Guests can sail onboard the Norwegian Getaway on similar itineraries with a 20% discount of the original cruise fare paid.
Alternatively, they can rebook Norwegian Viva for a later date.
Guests will also get a 10% discount on a future cruise.
The first Prima class vessel debuts later this month in Iceland.
