Number of travel job seekers rise
The number of new travel job seekers searching for travel roles increased by 18% last month to reach its highest level in three months, data from C&M Travel Recruitment shows.
There was also a rise in the number of candidates being placed in new travel jobs.
However, October’s total was down by a steep 63% compared to 2022’s record-setting year.
New vacancies fell back in October 9% from September to the lowest point in six months.
Barbara Kolosinska, MD at C&M Travel Recruitment, said: “The last time candidates and placements both increased in the same month was back in May, so there are lots of positives to take from these figures.”
“In particular, it’s great to see a healthy rise in new jobseekers.”
“As we enter the start of winter, we’re unlikely to see a big increase in recruitment until the new year. But January is always one of the very busiest months for recruitment.”
Last month’s data was drawn from vacancies advertised with C&M Travel Recruitment.
