NY to LA shuttle service to begin in January

Sunday, 03 May, 2013 0

If an hourly shuttle to Washington or Boston works, why not one to LA?

American Airlines apparently believes in the idea. It’s launching the new cross-country service early next year.

American already flies the New York-to-Los Angeles route 8 to 10 times a day.

By going hourly, "we’re effectively creating a shuttle service between New York and Los Angeles," said senior vice president Virasb Vahidi.

American obviously is hoping the frequent flights will attract corporate customers on the ultra-competitive and profitable route.

It will use 102-seat single-aisle A321s, with nearly a third of the seats in business or first class.
