NYC & Company announces new sales hire, promotions
New York City’s destination marketing organization NYC & Company has hired Lisa Tejeda as director, tourism market development, who will oversee the Latin America and the USA Hispanic market.
In this role Tejeda is tasked with driving more traffic to New York City’s five boroughs from key regional markets Brazil, Mexico and Argentina, as well as Colombia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, and the US nationally.
She reports to Makiko Matsuda Healy, MD, Tourism Market Development.
Tejeda joins NYC & Company after more than 14 years in hospitality at AccorHotels Group and Hilton.
She was senior group sales manager, responsible for leisure and incentive at Novotel New York Times Square Hotel until March 2016, and returns to the Big Apple after a two-year sabbatical traveling the world.
"We are proud to welcome Lisa to the NYC & Company team. She is a seasoned industry professional and we look forward to leaning on her expertise in further developing travel markets in Latin America and the United States as she settles into her role," said Makiko Matsuda Healy.
Meanwhile Jerry Cito, SVP of NYC & Company convention development has strengthened its regional leadership team with new promotions.
Former director of sales Trudy Singh has become NYC & Company’s regional vice president of sales, Mid-Atlantic and Lisa Lopez was promoted to regional vice president of sales, Midwest.
Cito also announced the appointment of Cory Rosenberg as director of sales, West region after four year serving as regional director, West.
