Global hospitality group Intercontinental has appointed a new marketing manager for New Zealand.

Rachel Peacock will lead marketing efforts for IHG’s NZ properties,  Crowne Plaza hotels in Auckland and Queenstown, and Holiday Inns in  Rotorua and Auckland Airport.

Peacock has been described as a ‘great new talent’ by Franck Hesse, IHG’s area director of sales and marketing.

"We’re thrilled to have her join the team and are sure she will have a great impact on our properties in New Zealand," he said.

She joins IHG from SKYCITY Auckland where she worked on the launch of SKYCITY’s dining precinct and rebranding of the company’s outside catering division.

Starting in the new role on October 20, Peacock said: "I’m excited about joining the team and look forward to building relationships internally and externally."
