Ocean Village makes agent bookings easier
Ocean Village has launched a Viewdata service enabling agents to make electronic bookings.
The P&O Cruises’ mass-market cruise product has chosen Telewest’s Endeavour and Fastrak products to launch the Viewdata service. Bookings can be made by keying OVH into Viewdata Fastrack.
Ocean Village head of marketing communications, Gill Haynes told TravelMole: “Ocean Village is popular with people who may not have taken a cruise before, and will go to an agent to make the booking. So we thought that agents who may not be familiar with booking cruises would benefit from using Viewdata – a means of booking they are familar with.
“It is a live system – that is the beauty of it, so we avoid the need for allocations. Plus it can be used on Sundays, when our call centres are closed.”
