On the Beach announces rise in pre-tax profit
On the Beach made a pre-tax profit of £14.5 million this year, up 46% over 2014.
Group revenue rose almost 38% to £63.1million and group operating profit was up by a 40% to £17.5 million.
In the UK, the online travel agent sold £454 million of holidays, and its EBITDA rose 45% to £20 million.
Unique visits to its website in the UK were up 14% to 54.5 million and its share of mobile traffic rose 61%.
The company was listed on the London Stock Exchange on September 28.
Chief executive Simon Cooper said: "2015 has been a highly successful year for On the Beach, delivering substantial growth and culminating in our IPO in September 2015.
"Our results demonstrate how we are successfully building a leading position as more consumers discover the ease of use and wide choice of beach holidays that our platforms offer.
"Our customers’ reaction to our flexible payment plans and cross device holiday searching experience continues to be very encouraging and we are excited by the product development innovations we delivered during the year.
"We continue to invest in the brand in both the UK and internationally, where we see long term growth potential.
"All the while we are constantly improving the customer experience and pricing to ensure we stay competitive in our market.
"The company reached an important internal milestone in the year by arranging beach holidays for over one million customers in the UK for the first time.
"This would not have been possible without the commitment and passion of our team and I would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication."
He said the company had got off to a strong start for the new financial year and performance was in line with expectations.
