Former Holidaybreak executive Wendy Parry is joining online travel egncy On the Beach as finance director.
Parry moves after eight years with Holidaybreak where she was managing director of educational and group tour specialist NST. Prior to this she was finance director of the group’s camping division including Keycamp, Easycamp and Eurocamp.
Geoff Wood, who joined On the Beach in 2007 as finance, legal, IT and HR director, will be leaving to pursue new challenges, the company said.
Wood will continue to work on legal and regulatory matters to provide a smooth transition and handover to Parry.
She will be responsible for developing the revenue and the margin management aspect of the business. The HR and legal operations will also fall under her remit.
CEO Simon Cooper said: “Geoff has played a critical role in transforming and growing On the Beach to where we are today; the seventh largest OTA in the UK, taking over 750,000 passengers away each year.
“I am personally grateful to Geoff for all his work, passion and endless commitment to the business and I will be sorry to see him go.
“I am looking forward to working with Wendy Parry and like Geoff becoming an integral part of the On the Beach team.”
