On the Beach launches Apple TV app
On the Beach has launched an Apple TV app which will allow Brits to plan, search and book their holidays from the comfort of their own living rooms.
The online agent claims it will be the first time in the UK travel industry that users can click the ‘book now’ button and use the Apple ‘handoff’ functionality which enables people to switch to their iPhone or iPad device to complete the booking.
Apple TV users can search by month of departure, departure airport or multiple departure airports, check flight details, hotel description with images and customer reviews.
They can change flights and board basis along with adding products such as baggage and transfers.
On the Beach said the app follows the success of its iPhone and iPad app which has proved very popular with British holidaymakers and recently experienced a ‘significant growth’ in bookings.
