On your bike, says VisitEngland
VisitEngland will launch a TV campaign this week encouraging Brits to take a cycling holiday.
The advert, which will air on Channel 5 and Channel 5 On Demand for three weeks from Friday July 11, aims to capitalise on the success of the Grand Départ in Yorkshire over the weekend.
VisitEngland says the cycling market is expected to be worth over £3 billion by 2015, with research showing it is growing by as much as 10-15% per year.
VisitEngland chief executive James Berresford said: "It is wonderful to see the increasing enthusiasm for cycling continue to grow following the Olympic and Paralympic Games and amidst the excitement of events like the Grand Départ in Yorkshire.
"We want to continue to build on this momentum."
