One-day car rentals for $3.95? Yes
Hotwire says this offer is just in time for summer: car rentals as low as US$3.95, none more than $16.
Hotwire describes itself as a discount travel site that offers “ridiculously low prices.”
How do they do it?
“We have special relationships with major travel providers to help them fill airline seats, hotel rooms, and rental cars that would otherwise go unsold, so our customers get them at prices lower than many other travel sites,” the company says.
Also, unlike other discount travel sites, Hotwire says its posted price model makes it easy for customers to find a great deal without bidding or guessing.
The company says it also has deep discounts on last-minute, local, weekend, and leisure deals at "extraordinary savings."
The rates below are all based on a one-day rental in August.
