Online training to unlock cruise potential

Complete Cruise Solution is stepping up its agent training in a move to exploit the still-untapped potential of cruising in the UK.

The company, the trade-facing operation of P&O Cruises, has launched a web-based training scheme, Waves of Wisdom online, which begins with an introductory section spelling out the benefits of cruising over a traditional land-based holiday, before taking agents through the finer points of the sector.

It deals with what a customer can expect, what their typical concerns may be, what’s included in the price and what the benefits are for agents themselves.

Complete Cruise Solution head of sales Giles Hawke said: “Despite being the fastest growing sector in the travel industry for the past five years, only 4% of the UK holiday market is choosing to cruise and this offers enormous potential for agents.

“The new website offers travel agents the most up to date brand and generic cruise information making it easier than ever before an answer any on the spot questions and encourage cruise bookings.”

The site is at www.wavesofwisdom.com
