Only one operator and airline make list of top 50 UK companies for service

A major study has recognised Jet2holidays as the best travel company in the UK for customer service.

The Customer Satisfaction Index also ranked Premier Inn, P&O Ferries, Brittany Ferries, Jet2.com, Haven and P&O Cruises as amongst the best companies.

Jet2holidays came 9th out of 250 companies. No other package tour operator made it into the top 50.

Budget hotel chain Premier Inn was ranked joint 16th together with M&S Food, while P&O Ferries came in 20th position, followed by Brittany Ferries in 21st place.

Jet2.com was the highest ranked airline at 29th on the list, making it the only airline in the top 50.

Haven was ranked at number 31 and P&O Cruises at number 39.

Amazon was ranked as the best company overall.

The Customer Satisfaction Index has been published twice a year by the Institute of Customer Service since 2008 and is based on the responses of over 10,000 customers.

It covers over 30 metrics of customer experience, including staff professionalism, quality and efficiency, ease of doing business, problem solving, complaint handling and attitudes towards trust and reputation.
