Thai hospitality firm ONYX Group has named Simon Dell as vice president and regional manager for Sri Lanka.

Dell previously held the position of vice president of operations for ONYX North Asia responsible for China and Hong Kong.

He joined the company in 2008 and has held various management positions in the hotel industry across Europe, Russia and Asia.

"The appeal of Sri Lanka as a travel destination for business and for leisure continues to rise and I look forward to the launch of the first Amari hotel and the third for ONYX Hospitality Group in this country," Dell said.
