Onyx launches new Saffron Collection brand
Thailand based Onyx Hospitality has launched new brand Saffron Collection.
It will comprise a portfolio of individual boutique hotels and resorts.
Plans were unveiled for hotels in Hanoi, Penang, Bangkok and Aranyaprathet in Thailand, with further expansion expected across the Asia-Pacific region.
The Oriental Residence Bangkok will be reflagged as a Saffron Collection property, and the new build Five Residences Hanoi is scheduled to open in October 2020.
"Saffron Collection is driven by our quest to create a distinctive portfolio of boutique hotels and resorts," said Douglas Martell, President and CEO, ONYX Hospitality Group.
The Oriental Residence Bangkok features 145 suites and first opened in 2012.
The Five Residences Hanoi offers 116 rooms and suites, a spa and dining.
The George, Penang and 120-room Indochina Hotel, Aranyaprathet will open in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
Onyx also operates the Amari, OZO, and Shama hotel brands.
