Orbitz Worldwide, the parent company of ebookers, has delayed the announcement of  its quarterly financial performance due today (Monday).

Results from the US-based online travel company are now due to be released on Thursday.

Orbitz said the postponement was “because  the company’s financial statements have not been finalised”.

No further explanation was given.

The figures which were due to be issued today were for the second quarter of the company’s financial year, the three months ending on June 30.
