Orlando No. 1

Monday, 25 May, 2004 0

Orlando came up No. 1 when AAA announced its agents’ ranking of top domestic vacation destinations.

It was followed by Las Vegas, Seattle, Anaheim and New York.

Agency managers cited these domestic destinations as offering the most attractive discounts or bargains for summer travel: Las Vegas, Hawaii, Florida, Arizona and Orlando.

Orlando has been at the top of the list for 15 years.

AAA travel agencies also reported sales up 21%, a trend expected to continue this summer.

“Hot spots” for auto travel included Monterey and La Jolla, Calif.; Eureka Springs, Ark.; Tunica, Miss.; and Western national parks.
