Orlando warns of shrinking jet fuel supply
Orlando International Airport has warned airlines of a jet fuel supply squeeze.
Bad weather has delayed fuel shipments.
Airport management has urged carriers to carry additional fuel reserves.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a low fuel warning to all airlines.
Although the weather is now improving, jet fuel supply hasn’t been fully replenished yet.
For now, airlines flying to Orlando should have additional fuel reserves.
The airport said fuel was being trucked to the airport.
“The fuel supply is being monitored, and airline contingency plans are in place.”
Airlines said there haven’t been any major disruptions so far.
