OTA invites Indian tourists to ‘Travel with Tendulkar’
United Arab Emirates based online travel agency Musafir.com will leverage a partnership with a sporting icon to increase brand recognition in India.
The company is launching a new campaign and tour concept entitled ‘Travel with Tendulkar’ in May this year.
The OTA has teamed up with recently retired cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar who will travel with customers on itineraries to select destinations including Dubai, Singapore, Australia, London and Japan.
“Our major selling point is we have Sachin Tendulkar as our partner and also a minority stakeholder. This year we have planned an extensive media campaign with Tendulkar and also to launch our new product ‘Travel with Tendulkar’ in April or May,” said Musafir.com CEO Vijay Kesavan.
“The packages which we have planned are not only for the premium travellers but also people looking at mid-budget tours.”
The company first entered the Indian market in 2013 and this year plans to open offices in New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.
