Ovation of the Seas to spend winter 2016 in Sydney
Royal Caribbean’s third Quantum class ship the Ovation of the Seas will head to Sydney for the winter 2016-17.
The ship, which launches earlier in 2016 will be the largest to ever sail out of Australia and will be the fifth Royal Caribbean vessel Down Under, along with Voyager of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas in Sydney and Legend of the Seas in Brisbane.
The company has already announced Ovation of the Seas will go straight to Tianjin, China when in launches next spring and will then head south to Australia for the winter.
"We have completely changed the face of the cruise industry, making the single largest investment in Australia by any cruise line," said Gavin Smith, regional vice president, Royal Caribbean, Asia Pacific.
This demonstrates our belief in, and long term commitment to, the Australian cruising market."
The line said it will release more details about the winter 2016-17 season later this month.
