Oyo acquires European data science firm
Indian hospitality giant Oyo Hotels & Homes has announced the acquisition of Danish data analytics company Danamica.
The Copenhagen based company specialises in dynamic pricing solutions.
The acquisition will allow Oyo to drive revenue growth for its vacation rentals business by tapping dynamic pricing across all its brands, the company says.
Oyo’s vacation rentals brands include OYO Home, Belvilla and DanCenter.
Danamica’s technology solutions will start with Oyo properties in Europe and then expand globally.
It focus is o the application of economics and machine learning.
"It will help us be more accurate with pricing, leading to higher efficiencies and yield for our real estate owners and value for money for our millions of global guests," said Maninder Gulati, global head, OYO Vacation and Urban Homes.
"Data sciences across Pricing, AI, and Imaging Sciences have been a cornerstone of OYO’s proprietary revenue enhancement technology."
