Pacific Blue touches down in Honiara
Pacific Blue yesterday launched its Brisbane-Honiara-Brisbane service, with the Pacific Blue Boeing 737-400 touching down at the Henderson International Airport at 2.00pm local time.
Pacific Blue, a sister company of Virgin Blue, has been promoting its special fares over the past weeks and months, also providing services to New Zealand, Fiji, Cook Islands, Vanuatu and Samoa.
The service to Honiara is twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau (SIVB) said Pacific Blue flights into the country will help strengthen the passenger traffic and will increase the visitors’ arrival into the country.
The tourism industry together with the bureau and the stakeholders are working together to promote Solomon Islands as a visitor’s destination.
