Pair reprimanded for Valentine’s love-in near BMI desk
Romance reportedly got the better of a British man and a Swedish woman who indulged in a Valentine’s Day “liaison” at Manchester airport on Monday. According to the Sky News website, the pair were caught having sex in a corridor at the airport after drinking a bottle of Baileys liqueur together. They had reportedly met earlier in the day when their flight to Copenhagen was delayed, and had decided to “lay down together” near a BMI check-in desk in Terminal 3. But the couple, who are reported to be in their 30s, were reported to have been “brought back down to earth” after being spotted by a security guard, who alerted police. However, the pair were not charged because the “impromptu airport loving” was over by the time officers arrived, Sky reports. A police spokesman is quoted as saying: “Police were alerted to reports that a couple were acting indecently in the Terminal 3 check-in hall. Officers spoke to the couple and, finding that no offence had been committed, decided that no further action was required.” Report by Tim Gillett, News From Abroad
