Pan Pacific growing as conference center

Pan Pacific Vancouver is about to become one of Western Canada’s largest conference centers.

The Gallery Level is due to open in May as part of a two-year, $11 million expansion and renovation to provide the harbor-front hotel with 42,000 square feet and 20 rooms of event space. Most of the addition will have unobstructed floor-to-ceiling view of Vancouver’s harbor and North Shore mountains, according to reports from the hotel.

Said Steve Halliday, senior vp of Pan Pacific Resorts and Resorts America:

“As the only property in Canada to receive AAA’s Five Diamond Award in the hotel and restaurant category, people come to us looking for the same attention to detail and service for their events.”

The Pan Pacific on 30 March will also open its $3.5 million, 12,000 square foot Spa Utopia and Salon. A 2,500 state-of-the-art fitness and health center is also scheduled to open in mid-May.
