Park City’s location is a draw for meetings and conventions

Monday, 07 Dec, 2006 0

Park City’s location just 35 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport is helping to draw more convention business.

The Cottages at Hotel Park City were recently completed, adding 46 new units to the existing 54.

The Sky Lodge, a five-star condo in the historic Old Town district of the city, is set to open next year. The 101,000 square foot resort will include two or three-bedroom homes, private meeting space and a destination spa.

The small resort town has 3,000 rooms that include everything from full-service hotels to B&Bs. There is more than 100,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

Planners can also use the 50,000 square feet of resort meeting space at Park city’s three year-round resorts: Deer Valley Resort, The Canyons Resort and Park City Mountain Resort.

Popular activities include fly-fishing, biking, hot-air ballooning, water rafting and golf.
