Hyatt Hotels Corp has sealed a deal to debut the Park Hyatt brand in Indonesia.
In partnership with leading developer MNC Land, the hotel will be located in the heart of capital Jakarta.
The new build will occupy the top 20 floors of a 27 storey mixed use tower at MNC Center, Kebon Sirih.
Few details for Park Hyatt Jakarta have been revealed but it will feature five F&B outlets.
"We are thrilled to have the chance to work with MNC Land, one of the largest property developers in Indonesia, to introduce a new personalized luxury experience to this dynamic city," said David Udell, ASPAC group president for Hyatt.
"Park Hyatt Jakarta will capture the multi-layered diversity of Indonesia. By combining the traditions of Jakarta with modern design elements, we hope to make the hotel a special place."
Park Hyatt Jakarta will be the fifth hotel in Indonesia following Grand Hyatt hotels in Jakarta and Bali, the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta and the currently under renovation Hyatt Regency Bali.
"We look forward to adding Park Hyatt Jakarta to our portfolio of landmark hotels," said Hary Tanoesoedibjo, CEO of MNC Group.
MNC is also partnering with Trump Hotels to rebrand and upgrade an existing property to a six star luxury hotel and golf resort in Bali.
Responding to local unease over the project, a MNC official says it would follow all building regulations and respect Hindu traditions.
The proposed resort is sited close to Tanah Lot temple, one of Bali’s most revered Hindu shrines.
