Passenger flights disrupted by Russian bombers
A passenger plane had to be diverted and another was delayed after two Russian bombers flew into Irish-controlled airspace without warning.
The Irish Aviation Authority said this week that the two Russian aircraft were flying with their transponders switched off.
The incident is believed to have occurred on February 18 when British RAF fighter jets were scrambled to escort two Russian bombers spotted flying close to British airspace, said the Telegraph.
The IAA said one passenger jet due to depart from Dublin had to be delayed due to the incident and another plane was diverted away from the Russian bombers.
