Passengers up, load factors down for Easyjet
Easyjet saw passenger numbers rise but load factor fall in January.
The airline reported an 11% jump in passengers to 2.316 million with load factors falling 2.4 percentage points to 74.2%.
For the 12 months ending January 2006, passengers increased almost 17% to 30.5 million with loads up 0.2% percentage points to 84.6%.
Revenues for the 12 months increased almost 20% to £1,394 million.
Easyjet chief executive Andrew Harrison said: “Our total revenue performance this month was in line with our expectations, and our guidance for the year to September 2006 remains unchanged.”
