PATA sets date for Bangkok talk show

Saturday, 28 Jun, 2007 0

BANGKOK – After abandoning its annual conference, PATA is staking its reputation on a new talk show, confirmed for April 23-24 next year in Bangkok.

PATA says it will “draw policy-makers, destination marketing leaders and the cream of other industry sectors” to the event.

Partners in the conference are Burba Hotel Network (BHN) and Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation, who have agreed to motivate CEOs from their respective networks in the hospitality and aviation sectors to participate.

The theme has yet to be formally announced, but PATA CEO Peter de Jong confirmed that the event would discuss “challenges that our public and private industry stakeholders can only resolve together”.

PATA is keen to ensure the event does not become just another over-inflated talk fest in an overcrowded travel conference calendar.

PATA chairman Brian Deeson said, “The event promises to set a new standard in dialogue and co-operation between the leaders of our global industry.”
