Over 1,300 MICE delegates gathered recently on 10-12 October 2006 at Pattaya’s Exhibition and Convention Hall and the Royal Cliff Beach Resort as the venue for IT&CMA (Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia) and CTW (Corporate Travel World) Asia-Pacific, with 270 exhibiting companies from 30 countries attending.

With the theme “Pure Magic: A World of Incentives” the show was organised by TTG Asia Media (Singapore) and supported by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and Thai Airways International (THAI).

50% of the 318 registered international buyers were from Asia-Pacific, but buyers from international locations including Luxembourg and Ukraine attended.

During the press conference on October 10, Ms Malinee Kitapanich, Director of TCEB, said that MICE visitors in Thailand are expected to reach 750,000 in 2006, mostly from the key markets of China, Japan and Europe and Thailand aims to be a regional hub for MICE activities in Southeast Asia.
