Pegasus eyes Europe
Pegasus Solutions is looking to increase its share of the European hotel distribution market following a series of hotel signings in the region.
Pegasus now offers access to more than 3,700 hotels in Europe, including 150 signings during the first quarter of 2005.
This includes the 110-room Manor Hotel near the Birmingham NEC, the 129-room Amadeus Hotel in Hanover and the 57- room Petit Palace Marques Santa Ana in Seville.
The hotels are distributed and managed through Unirez by Pegasus, which is accessed by high-street and online agents through the four major GDSs and various online bookings sites.
According to Pegasus European hotels that have signed up to its distribution platform have reported increases in revenue from bookings of up to 52%, plus a more global spread of guests.
Independent hotels joining Pegasus get access to electronic distribution services, rate management tools, reservation systems, and rate programmes.
