Hawks Cay Resort appoints Alice Brennan as HR director
March 2008, (Duck Key, Florida) – Hawks Cay, the newly re-opened, water-based resort that has re-emerged from a $35 million renovation and organizational transformation, has appointed Alice Brennan, PHR, as its new Director of Human Resources, as announced by Managing Director Stephen Bello.
In this role, Ms. Brennan is responsible for the human resources operations and initiatives for this premier destination resort in the Florida Keys, including professional development, recruitment, training, employee relations, benefits management, and related support for all operating departments.
Previously as human resources director at Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada, Florida Keys, Brennan brings over 25 years of experience to Hawks Cay. Her background includes executive HR positions with global travel companies such as Miami-based ResidenSea, Cunard Line Ltd., as well as ADT and the Ricoh Corporation, both headquartered in New Jersey.
Among her notable successes, Brennan has countered seasonal staffing challenges by sourcing and administering multiple work/travel and management training visa programs, geo-diverse recruitment of hospitality interns, and staff-share programs with northern resorts and local job fairs.
Hawks Cay is the ultimate water sports destination located on the 60-acre island, Duck Key, in the Florida Keys. The resort features world-class fishing, a full-service marina, Dolphin Connection program, Calm Waters Spa, and kid and teen clubs, as well as a myriad of spectacular water-based activities.
