Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has appointed travel industry specialist Nikki Harrison as the luxury brand’s new Vice President of Global Marketing, based in the company’s headquarters in Surrey, England.
Ms. Harrison joins SLH at a time of tremendous growth and success. After a very successful 2006 which showed a 25% increase in revenue over the previous year combined with the addition of 70 hotels to the brand’s portfolio for 2007, Ms. Harrison’s arrival is perfectly timed for her to lead the charge for future growth and continued excellence.
Responsible for overseeing the Sales and Marketing efforts worldwide, Ms. Harrison will direct SLH’s strategy to further support the travel trade community as well as develop consumer-based brand initiatives through the media, The Club of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and other direct marketing programs that build brand awareness and drive reservations.
Ms. Harrison joins SLH from Travelport (Cendant Corporation) where she was the regional Marketing Manager of the Travel Distribution Services Division. Her extensive background in distribution and reservation technology will allow her to keep SLH on the cutting edge of distribution ensuring the brand maximizes revenue and exposure for its more than 400 hotels in 65 countries.
