Pilot jailed for falsifying flying experience
A pilot was jailed for lying to two airlines about his flying experience. Craig Butfoy, 49, was sentenced to one year in prison for supplying false details and fabricating his experience in his flight logbook.
The false information gained him employment with BA CityFlyer and Stobart Air. He had pleaded guilty to charges of fraud, according to the Civil Aviation Authority. He gave false information on his CV and also falsely claimed he had held a private pilot’s license since 1998.
