Pilot jailed over fatal crash
A pilot has been jailed in connection with a fatal plane crash in China in 2010.
The Henan Airlines flight, carrying 96 passengers, overshot the runway at Yichun airport and caught fire, killing 44 on board.
Captain Qi Quanjun got a three-year sentence for trying to land ‘when visibility at the airport was below safety standards’.
A Chinese court also found he did not properly evacuate passengers or help the injured.
