Pilots fall asleep, miss landing approach
Two Ethiopian Airlines pilots were put on leave pending an investigation after dozing off and missing their cue for landing. They fell asleep on a flight from Sudan to Ethiopia, while on autopilot and flew past their landing approach at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.
They had to sheepishly circle back to land.
Air traffic control made multiple attempts to contact them during the impromptu nap.
The plane safely landed without incident.
