Plane diverted after flight attendant, air marshal assaulted
In the latest case of unruly passenger behavior, a man not only allegedly assaulted a flight attendant but also an air marshal. A Delta Air Lines flight from Washington DC to LA was diverted to Oklahoma City.
Ariel Pennington was arrested in Oklahoma City on charges of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. It was another example of a ‘disturbing trend that TSA and its industry and federal partners will not tolerate,’ the TSA said.
The FAA has received more than 5,500 unruly passenger reports so far in 2021.
