Plane makes emergency landing after woman discovers husband’s adultery
A flight to Bali had to make an emergency landing when a passenger allegedly became aggressive after finding out her husband was having an affair.
The Bali-bound aircraft was forced to divert to Chennai in India after the Iranian woman reportedly started hitting her partner.
Cabin crew on the Qatar Airways plane tried to intervene, but they were unable to calm the woman, who police said had been drinking.
She had apparently used her sleeping husband’s thumb to unlock his phone before reading his messages mid-flight, according to The Times of India.
On landing, the couple and their young child were removed from the plane but no police action was taken.
A Central Industrial Security Force official said: "A lady along with her husband and a child, all Iranian nationals, were offloaded by Qatar Airline as the lady passenger – who was intoxicated – misbehaved with crew members inflight.
Qatar Airways said in a statement: "In respect of passenger privacy we do not comment on individual cases."
