Police injured during fight at Pontin’s holiday park
Three police officers were taken to hospital following a fight involving up to 20 people at a Pontin’s holiday park.
The first two police officers on the scene at Pontin’s in Camber Sands, East Sussex were attacked by the group in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, Sussex police said.
Captor spray had to be used by the officers to control and disperse the group, who ran off into the site.
Six men and a woman were arrested and the two Pcs and a third officer sent to the park were treated in hospital, reports the BBC.
Police said the officers were treated for cuts and bruises at the Conquest Hospital, Hastings, but later discharged.
The seven people, aged between 19 and 49, who were arrested on suspicion of affray and assault were freed on police bail until 19 November.
