Police investigate allegation of theft in relation to travel agent
Police are investigating an allegation of theft in relation to Tonbridge-based Black Tip Travel, which has announced it is seeking insolvency advice.
The company, which had been a member of Advantage and ABTA but is no longer a member of either, used a website post to apologise to customers for ‘inconvenience caused’ relating to errors made on some bookings.
The company had received mainly positive reviews on Trustpilot until very recently, when customers began posting negative comments, with some accusing the company of fraud.
When contacted about the allegations, a spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police is investigating an allegation of theft concerning a business in Tonbridge.
"A 34-year-old man from Tonbridge was arrested on suspicion of theft on 2 December 2018 and has been released pending further enquiries."
