Ponant adding second ship in South Pacific
Ponant Explorations Group is deploying a second ship in French Polynesia starting for the 2026-27 winter season.
Le Jacques Cartier joins Paul Gauguin sailing in the region from October 2026 through February 2027.
This is the ship’s first season in Tahiti.
The ship will sail a series of three distinct 14-night cruises from Papeete, Tahiti.
Each itinerary visits the Austral Islands, Pitcairn Island and the third will call on the Marquesas and Society Islands.
Le Jacques Cartier features 88 staterooms and suites and an onboard marina.
