Ponant restarting Kimberley expedition cruises
PONANT will restart its Kimberley 2022 expedition season from 28 April 2022
It follows Western Australia’s decision to allow small expedition ships with a maximum of 350 persons into its waters.
PONANT will offer multiple departures between April and October including two new departure dates for its popular 10-night ‘Australia’s Iconic Kimberley’ itinerary between Broome and Darwin, onboard small luxury expedition ship Le Soleal.
“We’ve been anticipating this announcement for many months and have been working behind the scenes to ensure we are ready to set sail for the Kimberley as soon as possible,” General Manager Sales and Marketing Asia Pacific Deb Corbett said.
“Australia’s Kimberley is one of the greatest wonders of our country and it’s certainly a bucket list destination for both Australians and international tourists. “
Highlights on the itinerary include the Hunter River inhabited estuarine crocodiles; discovering the King George River on a Zodiac excursion and the Twin Falls, the highest in Western Australia.
The itinerary also visits Collier Bay to explore Montgomery reef.
Le Soleal provides 95% balcony accommodation and offers a selection of fine dining options, an open bar, spa and an outdoor swimming pool.
