Problems for Adelaide airport
Management of the new $260 million Adelaide airport has announced a one week delay in the first flights due to a refuelling problem. Domestic services were expected to begin on Tuesday week. International flights will commence on schedule this weekend.
“The delay will give contractors time to fix a fuel delivery system fault uncovered during final testing . . . the resolution of which requires specialist spare parts from overseas and re-testing, which itself requires seven days,” said Adelaide Airport managing director Phil Baker.
Retailers, other airlines and car rental companies will have to adjust their relocation to fit in with the new timing.
