Professional Public Relations appointed to South African Tourism PR Account in Australia and New Zealand
Professional Public Relations (PPR) has been appointed as South African Tourism’s Australian and New Zealand PR agency.
PPR has been awarded a three year contract to help grow Australian and New Zealand tourist numbers in the lead up to 2010, grow business tourism, and to take South African Tourism as an organisation to new heights.
The Australian and New Zealand PR account will be managed out of PPR’s Sydney office. The team will work closely with Financial Dynamics in Johannesburg , who are overseeing the account on a global level.
Bangu Masisi, General Manager Australasia for South African Tourism, says she is excited to have Professional Public Relations working on the account.
“I’m looking forward to PPR generating ideas to help grow initiatives that are already in place and create new ones to entice Australians and New Zealanders to visit South Africa prior to, during and after the 2010 World Cup.”
PPR has already begun work on the account, with the immediate focus on Indaba , South Africa ’s premier tourism event which runs in Durban from May 12th to 15th.
The Professional Public Relations team on the South African Tourism account includes Peter O’Sullivan as Account Director and Rebecka Tempest as Strategic Counsel.
