Promotion for Bayley at Royal Caribbean

Royal Caribbean Cruises’ Michael Bayley has been promoted to executive vice president, international.
He will continue to be responsible for international business development for three of the company’s cruise brands – Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Club Cruises.
In his former role as senior vice president, international, Bayley (51) was responsible for the international sales, marketing and commercial operations for the three cruise lines’ business activities in Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean.
He also serves on the board of the TUI Cruises German cruise line joint venture and is an executive committee member of the European Cruise Council.
Bayley began his career with Royal Caribbean International in 1981 after graduating with a degree in business administration from the University of Bournemouth.
The cruise company’s chairman and CEO Richard Fain said: "Over the past three years,
Michael has successfully spearheaded our aggressive expansion efforts into emerging and high-growth markets.
"We have seen significant international growth under his leadership and look forward to continuing to develop this segment of the business."
Bayley was previously senior vice president, hotel operations and chairman of Island Cruises when it was a joint venture with First Choice.
