Pure coincidence: Great Hotels unleashes niche websites

Wednesday, 04 Nov, 2010 0

Has Great Hotels of the World pinched a great marketing slogan from New Zealand?

The global hotel sales and marketing alliance will launch its ‘Pure’ websites at the end this year.

The niche collection includes Pure Golf, Pure Spa, Pure Romance, Pure Honeymoon, Pure Heritage, Pure Gourmet and Pure Weekend.

Tourism New Zealand has claimed 100% Pure NZ as its marketing slogan for more than 10 years.

Some of the best-known contributions to New Zealand’s unconventional tourism industry have been pure magic.

Inventions such as the ski-plane (a controlled crash on snow-covered precipices), the jetboat (taking a flat bottomed boat up river against the river’s flow) and bungy jumping, (throwing yourself off great heights with a rubber band attached to your ankles!).

Now Great Hotels of the World is jumping onboard with its own pure message.

Carly Gotz, group director, sales and marketing at Great Hotels of the World, said, “Most social media strategies are single platform, but our websites will integrate the power of all of the most popular social media channels through one ‘Pure’ website for each niche.”
