Qantas boss named world’s most influential LGBT executive
Qantas boss Alan Joyce has been named the world’s most influential LGBT business executive for his campaigning in favour of same-sex marriage.
Joyce was selected in an annual list put together by networking group OUTstanding and the Financial Times to recognise positive LGBT role models in business.
He has encouraged business leaders to join him in campaigning for a ‘yes’ vote in a ballot on same-sex marriage in Australia.
So far, more than 1,300 companies have voiced their support.
The result is expected on November 15.
