Qantas extends Vancouver services
Qantas will extend its seasonal services between Sydney and Vancouver to December and January to cater for the North American ski season.
Qantas Group general manager sales and distribution Rob Gurney said strong forward bookings for the current seasonal three times a week service between June and August to the Canadian city indicated there may be room for an all year service.
“By adding seasonal services in December and January … hopefully we can extend them to operate over a year round basis,” he told the Australian Tourism Exchange in Adelaide.
“It opens up a whole range of possibilities for leisure travellers from Australia wishing to enjoy the winter activities of Canada and for Canadians wanting to visit Australia during summer.”
The new northern hemisphere winter services will depart Sydney on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
