Qantas puts its six A380s to work
MELBOURNE – Qantas has launched its Melbourne to London via Singapore A380 service.
Qantas now offers A380 services on four routes – two from Melbourne and two from Sydney.
Qantas will operate one to two services a week between Melbourne and London via Singapore (QF9 on Mondays/Sundays and the return QF10 on Fridays/Saturdays).
Regular twice-weekly flights will commence on March 29.
With a six-strong fleet, Qantas’ A380 schedule from March 29 will be: Sydney-Los Angeles services – daily services (currently four per week); Sydney-Singapore-London – five services per week; Melbourne-Los Angeles – three services per week (currently two per week); and Melbourne-Singapore-London – two services per week.
“More than 550,000 people have now flown on Qantas A380 services, and it remains extremely popular with our customers,†said CEO Alan Joyce.
