Qantas says domestic capacity will soon reach pre-pandemic levels
Qantas says domestic seat capacity will reach 90% of pre-pandemic levels by the end of the current quarter. This will lead to a positive cashflow again, it says.
It will continue offering low fares to stimulate demand and expects capacity to top pre-pandemic levels by the first quarter of the new fiscal year starting in July.
It doesn’t expect to post big profits next year but it will ‘cover cash costs and we will be improving our balance sheet’ as well as getting more employees back in jobs, CEO Alan Joyce said.
